Trout of all shapes and sizes in our meandering rivers and mighty lakes. In the lazy bends of slower streams and tributaries there are also char, pike, zander, and carp. Swimming under the waves of the Adriatic and the salty water of the Bay of Piran, we further find anchovies, sardines, merlings, hake, bream, and bass. Good fish for good friends!
We live on the edge of Radensko polje, karst field with all the typical characteristics: karst springs, sinkholes, intermittent lake. The three waters of Radensko polje flow from the west to the eastern part of the field, where they sink and come to the surface as part of the Krka river spring … Grandpa Lovro told us how they broke the ice in severe winters and carried baskets of frozen fish home.
