The Easter doily is the most precious piece of festive home textile of slovenian household. It has been used for centuries to cover a wicker basket full of Easter delicacies and than taken to church to be blessed. Richly embroidered with embroideries. So clean and white, like a well-cared-out and cleaned slovene house for Easter. So extremely important, that with the greatest respect it went from generation to generation. Always carefully wrapped in delicate tissue paper.
With the same respect, we graphically updated the more than 100-year-old pattern of Easter tablecloth from Kovac’s homesteads of Mitja’s grandmother Silva and grandfather Lovrenc. We have carefully selected fine white linen. Each festive napkin has a hand-cut and seamed wide letter edge. Three colour patterns were uniquely hand silkscreened with three different screens.
“We carefully wrap it into tissue paper and place it in beautiful gift box made of recycled cardboard ready to give to that special someone.”
